A place for all women

Our last Japan tour heading into the scarlet torii gates at Fushimi Inari in Kyoto.

  • Are you new to overseas travel? We all start somewhere. These tours are a safe place where you can feel comfortable asking questions and learning the ropes surrounded by a group of supportive women.

  • Are you an experienced traveler? Although we do see some major sites, we also take you to off-the-beaten-path places. Our local tour guides know their stuff. I’m a research nerd so I love to ferret out those lesser-known interesting facts.

  • Are you in a situation where you don’t have anyone to travel with? This can be because your husband isn’t interested, you’re divorced, you’ve lost your spouse, or simply that none of your friends want to travel. Come with us and meet other fascinating women to share the journey!

  • Do you want your own room but hate paying a single supplement? Even if you want to ‘share the journey’, sharing a room can be a whole ‘nother thing! Not to worry - on these tours, everyone gets their own private room at no extra cost.

  • Do you want the advantages of being on a tour, but don’t want to feel herded around? These tours have no more than 10 women. We travel by public transportation as much as we can in order to have a more authentic local experience. You’re not going to be stuck on a big bus with 40 other people!

  • Do you want to know that your money stays in the communities you visit? As much as possible, we stay in smaller hotels and eat at family-run restaurants. We want to be responsible travelers, whether we’re visiting a small village or hanging out in London.

COVID BLUES…

Who knew at the beginning of 2020 what was waiting for us? Surely not the travel business!

In fall of 2021, I went to Ireland, Northern Ireland (different countries), Scotland, and England. There were multiple hoops to navigate but - once that was done - I felt as safe as I do in my hometown of Los Angeles.

This year (2022 I spent 10 weeks in England, Spain, Germany, and Austria. Again, I took reasonable precautions but I felt safe.

Although recovery has been bumpy (I’m looking at YOU, Omicron!), things are getting back to normal travel, even though it’s a good idea to have a mask along and have a Covid rider on your travel insurance.

Please note - proof of vaccination is required to go on my tours. If - for a legitimate medical reason - you cannot be vaccinated, then let’s talk and I’ll be happy to research what options are open to you. If you have chosen not to be vaccinated, then I’m sorry but I cannot take you along.
